How To Find Travel And Golf Packages To Spain Very Quickly

Big Brother

Spain was the golfing-break powerhouse of Europe until Portugal came along and stole its thunder. However, the biggest country in the Iberian Peninsular still has plenty to offer: great weather, even better food and golfing pedigree in the form of famous players like Seve Ballesteros, Sergio Garcia and Jose Maria Olazabal. Spain even hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup.

The Golfing Seasons

If you want to go for a golf vacation to Spain in the winter, you can find very good deals and cheap prices but you will be restricted to the south of the country (the Andalucía region) or the Mediterranean coast (near Castellon or Valencia). Those two are the only regions in Spain that will have warm weather during the winter months.

If you want to go during the summer however, remember that the interior of the country will be really hot (temperatures in the 40-degress Celsius) so you will need to be near the coast to get some respite. The problem then is that the coasts will be more expensive during the summer, so the first tip is to pick your time of year and area of Spain very carefully.

Finding Spanish Deals Back Home

Many British people (many of them golfers) will have villas and time-share apartments in Spain, so ask around. Mention to your friends and family, put the word out at your local golf club you mind find a great deal from somebody who has an empty villa and would like to make some money on it.

One Stop Shop

Don’t think that you have to book the travel and the golf separately; many travel companies will have partnerships with golf courses and golf resorts. You can book either the golf first and then get the accommodation and the flights while you are there. Or, of course, while you are in the online shopping cart booking your hotel, you will see offers for golf courses. Your travel agent might not know much about golf but they will be able to find you a good deal and golf courses near your accommodation. Bear in mind that you will have to do the homework yourself - don’t leave it up to them to find you a good golf course because they probably are not golfers so they will get you the best deal but only that.

Practice while you are on holiday

See if you can stay close to a driving range while on holiday. Your golf trip is going to be a lot more fun if you are on top of your golf game. The best way to do this is to practice while you are on your golf trip. Why interrupt your practicing regiment simply because you’re playing more? Your games will highlight your shortcomings. Tend to them immediately and test your new skills while you still have the time and luxury to do so.
